Position: Hybrid Business Analyst/Technical Project Manager
(mid-level) – UK

Role

In this hybrid role, you will provide business analysis and project management support to ensure effective delivery of agreed projects. The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Define the problem, get buy-in from stakeholders and the project team
  • Create business requirements and work with technical resources to convert into system requirements
  • Communicate the urgency, value, benefit and risk of the proposed solution
  • Support large programmes or projects and deliver smaller projects independently
  • Drive projects to completion within agreed scope whilst maintaining the business vision

Approximately 80% telecommuting from home (after onboarding) expected.

Ability to travel - 20% (UK and abroad)

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a project management or hybrid PM/BA role
  • Strong communication skills - written, pictorial, presentational and verbal at all levels within the organisation
  • Great relationship management skills - able to engage with and gain confidence of others and maximise their contribution to the process
  • Experience and knowledge of various project management methodologies (PRINCE, Agile etc.) and an understanding of development practices
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, OmniPlan, Smartsheet, Workfront, BaseCamp (or similar PM software)

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience within Content Management and/or Work Management
  • Experience of requirements elicitation through direct interaction with business users and their processes, (interviews, observation and workshops)
  • A technical minded person with a desire to keep abreast of the ever-changing Content/Work Management and technology industries
  • Confident enough to be able to challenge business ideas where they do not meet stated objectives
  • Comfortable with telecommuting
